St. Patrick’s Day

DÉCOR

The theme can be traditional with green, gold, black, white, and orange. Or, think outside the box and utilize the rainbow (pot of gold) with all of the colours it has to offer. Deck out the house and party décor with shamrocks, bells, beads, gold, hats, and suspenders. Or, hit the easy button and order a PARTY IN A BOX for your event.

FOOD

Make all things Irish and/or green. Spinach, pesto, dips, and veggies can all help bring out the green. Opt for traditional colcannon, potato bread, or stew. Contact us for catering options.

DRINKS

Jameson, Guinness, and green beer are traditionally the go to. Below are a couple of simple cocktail recipes. Embrace the gold of beer and skip the green concoction. But, if you are making green beer be sure to only put in 1 drop of food colouring, more will result in a REALLY DARK SLUGGY looking drink.

Irish Car Bomb Irish Coffee Shamrock Shake

- Glass of stout - Hot coffee - Vanilla Ice Cream

- ½ oz. of Irish Whiskey - 1 oz. of Irish Whiskey - Milk

- ½ oz. of Irish Cream - ½ oz. Irish Cream - Few drops of Mint Extract

(not peppermint)

- Food Colouring

FUN

Always make sure to be age appropriate, and never underestimate what a simple activity can add to your event. For kids, there are a number of crafts and activities that can be done – leprechauns, beards, rainbows. For adults, let them try their luck and think about either a fun gambling game or creative picture cut out – gold toss, beer tasting, leprechaun cut out. Order a PARTY IN A BOX to have this step done for you.

DRESS UP

Going green is half the fun. Stock up on all things green and gold and be sure to pick up extras for guests.

“May blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow, and may trouble avoid you wherever you go”
